Enemy Types & Counters

Learn about all enemy types, their stats, weaknesses, and how to counter them effectively.

Ground Enemies
Standard ground-based enemies that walk along paths

Basic Ground Units

Standard enemies that follow ground paths. They can be attacked by both ground and hybrid units.

Best Counters:
  • Kriatu (Cheater) - #1 ground unit with Duelist trait
  • Rule (ROOM) - High ground DPS, free from BattlePass
  • Ronin Obito - Top 3 ground unit, free Day 7 reward
  • Any hybrid unit (Berserker, Jinoo, Dragon Silver)

Armored Enemies

Enemies with high armor that take reduced damage from standard attacks. Require armor-piercing units or high damage output.

Best Counters:
  • Kenpachi (Berserker) - Bypasses hyper armor, slows enemies
  • Units with armor-piercing abilities
  • High DPS units with Ruler trait
Air/Flying Enemies
Flying enemies that require air-capable units to counter

Flying Units

Enemies that fly above the ground. Can only be attacked by hybrid units, air units, or units placed on hills. Introduced in 'Hollowed Moon' stages.

Best Counters:
  • Spade (Donut) - Top 2 Air/Hill DPS
  • Cyborg (Fearless) - Top 2 Air/Hill DPS
  • Any hybrid unit (can attack both ground and air)
  • Zora - Great beginner Air unit with stun
Important:

Ensure you have air coverage before entering 'Hollowed Moon' stages. Playing with friends who can provide air support is also recommended.

Boss Enemies
Powerful boss enemies with high health and unique mechanics

Boss Mechanics

Boss enemies have substantial health pools and often appear at the end of waves or in special challenges. They require strategic placement and strong DPS to defeat.

Best Boss Killers:
  • Law (Rule/ROOM) - Amazing boss killer with teleport support
  • Berserker (Enraged) - Fast ramp-up damage
  • Kirito (Cheater) - High damage, especially in Virtual Realm
  • Units with boss damage bonuses or crit scaling
Strategy:
  • Focus all DPS on the boss when it appears
  • Use stun/slow units to delay boss movement
  • Position units to maximize damage uptime
  • Save active abilities for boss phases
  • In challenges, bring friends for drop boost (up to 60%)
Enemy Scaling & Difficulty
Understanding how enemies become stronger over time

Progressive Difficulty

Enemies continuously scale in strength as waves progress. In Infinite Mode, this scaling continues indefinitely, challenging you to optimize your team composition and strategy.

Difficulty Meter

In Story Mode, you can adjust the difficulty meter to increase challenge and rewards. Higher difficulties (300%+) multiply gem earnings but demand stronger units. Tailor the difficulty to what your current unit lineup can comfortably handle.

Counter Strategy:

  • Use scaling units (Jinoo, Dragon Silver) for Infinite Mode
  • Focus on units with infinite scaling mechanics
  • Prioritize traits that provide long-term power (Eternal, Sacred)
  • Etherealize units to unlock powerful passives
  • Equip maxed-out relics for substantial stat increases
